The simple game

Poker clubs in France France is the unique European country that still has land overseas and is considered the motherland of roulette and some other gambling activities. According to the law, most of the facilities that allow visitors to play poker in them in France are placed in resort tourists zones. Poker 21, called “Black Jack Parisian Style” is a 19th century French game. Poker 21 is not a variant of Poker, as its name suggests, but rather a variant of Black Jack with a slight touch of Poker. Poker 21 is played with 6 standard decks of cards dealt in a shoe, and the cards have the same value as in traditional Black Jack.

For the game to start, the player must place his bet on one of the three possible wagers: “banco” means that he plays with the bank, “punto” means that he plays for the “ponte” against the bank, “tie” means that he wagers that the bank’s hand and the “ponte”’s hand will be the same.

Before the start of the game, the croupier draws a card and turns it over. The value of this card (face cards are worth 10 for this operation) indicates the number of cards that will “burned” before starting the game.

The croupier then deals a card, face down, on the “punto” and one on the “banco”. He deals a second one on each of these cards. Once the cards have been dealt, they are turned over in order to count their total value.

IF PUNTO OR BANCO ARE WORTH 8 OR 9 no more cards are dealt. There will be no additional draw for these two combinations.

The croupier then compares the 2 hands placed in front of him:

Banco is then dealt a third card according to its own game and the Punto game. The possible hands are as follows:
