The original script had them reading KO Blackjack, but the books author was antsy about some of the other scenes in the movie, so they switched books at the last moment. Have not seen the movie yet, but hear mostly good things. Blackjack players have even more reason to be fond of The Hangover, since there is a central scene revolving around this renowned card game. The movie had an undeniably massive impact on Las Vegas casinos, especially on Caesars Palace. Ever since its release, people from all around world use some iconic quotes from the characters. The inclusion of poker scenes in Hollywood movies today seems inevitable, but memorable moments at the blackjack tables seem rare on-screen. BlackjackChamp presents some good scenes involving the most popular casino table game in the world. (Not included are films focusing on casino gambling such as Croupier and 21.) The top five – or six – blackjack scenes are the following.
5. Ocean’s Eleven. Maybe the blackjack scenes aren’t that memorable, especially for a movie set in Las Vegas, but Bernie Mac as a disgruntled dealer gets the best line in the movie: “S—, you might as well call it ‘whitejack.’”
4. Licence to Kill. Ian Fleming’s original James Bond preferred baccarat with the occasional turn at roulette. The Daniel Craig version of the character played Texas Hold ‘Em in the Casino Royale remake. But Timothy Dalton’s 007 took $250,000 from the tables at drug lord Franz Sanchez’ casino in nice fashion.
3. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Would you want Jack Nicholson to be the house at your blackjack game? Maybe if he were this amusing.
2.(tie). Rainman and The Hangover. While Rainman set the standard for the casino moments in Hollywood movies, the blackjack card counting scene in The Hangover was even more effective – plus, it had Heather Graham.
1. Swingers. What else? As funny as the rest of this movie is, the infamous “double down” sequence tops everything else in here, particularly with the continual repetition insisting on what to do with an 11, not to mention the greatest nickname ever given in a movie. And Heather Graham. It’s money, baby.

Whilst there is no real consensus on the true origins of Blackjack, most experts agree that the game originated as Vingt-et-Un (which conveniently translates to 21)in French casinos sometime during the 18th century. Blackjack remains one of the most popular casino games to this day due to its fast-paced nature and relatively simple concept in comparison to some of the more involved casino games. The Hangover

Bradley Cooper plays the role of enthusiasticcheerleader whilst Zach Galifianakis’character tries to bail the group of friends out of hot water by scoring a big win. Of course, Alan pulls through and scores the group $80,000 which allows them to pay off their debt and rescue their missing friend Doug.
Johnny Got His Gun
Johnny Got His Gun contains a number of blackjack scenes which feel just as compelling as they did back when it was released in 1971. The movie takes a close look at the interaction between players around the blackjack table which provides an emotive backdrop to some of the most authentic casino dates ever seen in the movie industry. Of course, this movie was released when blackjack was exclusive to brick and mortarcasinos and it’s now even possible to play blackjack online whilst using bitcoin as abetting option when at VegasCasino and other leading casino sites, a world away from the 1971 world of casino gambling.
License To Kill
